Led by naturalist David Bendlin, this hike differs from other candlelight hikes as it is a quieter and more conditionally primitive; no bonfires, hot chocolate or treats are provided and dogs are not allowed. The hike is free and open to the public, but donations are appreciated. Participants must be dressed appropriately for the weather and be prepared to hike on uncleared trails. As we walk, we’ll listen for the calls of owls often heard in the woods at this time of year. The hike will meet at the Big Hill Center, 1201 Big Hill Court, Beloit. This hike is sponsored by the Welty Environmental Center and the Rock County Conservationists
